The US based Heritage Foundation set up numerous think-tanks and policy institutes across Eastern Europe after the collapse of Soviet control. These were funded both through the Heritage Foundation (itself funded by Coors and Scaife) and directly in association with the Krieble Institutes (plural) under the control of Robert H. Krieble and Paul M. Weyrich,
