"Founded in 1974, Public Media Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit media and communications agency specializing in social marketing campaigns which raise the public’s awareness of health, social, environmental, and community issues, including campaigns on the environment, population, women’s health, public health, AIDS education, media fairness, social justice, and civil rights. PMC has created media campaigns for organizations including Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Rainforest Action Network, and Greenpeace, as well as 200 other environmental, women’s and social justice organizations in the United States and in Japan, the People’s Republic of China, Chile, Canada, Ireland, Mexico, and the Netherlands."
