Hartsbrook School

"The Hartsbrook School is legally organized as a nonprofit corporation under the name of the Pioneer Valley Waldorf School Association, Inc. The original incorporators of the school were Jane Eliot (deceased)," David Fortier "and Claire Fortier (deceased) and" Art Zajonc "and Heide Zajonc. The corporation is responsible for all functions of The Hartsbrook School. It is made up of members of the Board, members of the Faculty Conference, and the original incorporators of the school (founding members of the corporation)." [1]

  • Noah Smith, Hartsbrook alumnus Class of 1997 Eighth Grade. Owner of Common Media, Inc. Joined the Board in 2010.
  • Elizabeth Sustick, Coowner, Paul and Elizabeth's Restaurant, Northampton. Former faculty member and parent of Hartsbrook alumni. Joined the Board in 1993.
  • Dennis Szuhay, 31 year career in pesticide regulation with the Environmental Protection Agency and parent of two Hartsbrook students. Joined the Board in 2009.
  • Anne Woodhull, Children’s Play Therapist and parent of Hartsbrook alum. Joined Board in 2007.
