Harriet Zimmerman was a director of the US Institute of Peace in 2002 (at least).
In May 2000, President Clinton "announced his intent to nominate Harriet Zimmerman and Marc Leland to serve as members of the Board of Directors for the United States Institute of Peace.
"Ms. Harriet Zimmerman, of Palm Beach, Florida, is Vice President of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and a member of the Board of Advisors of the Democratic Leadership Council. From 1979 to 1985, she served as a member of the Board of Advisors of the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Ms. Zimmerman received an A.B. and an M.A. from Boston University." [1]
She is also a vice chairman of the United Jewish Appeal. [2]
