Hamilton E. James has been a director of Costco "since August 1988. He is the President of The Blackstone Group. Until October 2002, Mr. James served as an executive board member and Chairman of Global Investment Banking and Private Equity for Credit Suisse First Boston Corporation. Prior thereto, he was Chairman of The Banking Group at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette Securities Corporation." [1]
