Hagit Lifshitz "is a mediator and facilitator, and the chairperson and founder of MIFGASH, a Community Mediation Center in Jerusalem and other locations in Israel. In Hebrew, MIFGASH means encounter or meeting together; MIFGASH gives people the opportunity to learn, practice, and increase their abilities to build peace within themselves, their families, and their communities. Ms. Lifshitz' interest in this area began when she was a police officer for the Israeli Police. During her 22 years with the police department, Ms. Lifshitz planned and facilitated educational programs on human rights and cooperation within the community. Ms. Lifshitz holds a degree in educational counseling from Hebrew University, and trains others in Non Violent Communication, mediation, and conflict resolution." [1]
