"Guy has over 25 years experience in banking with much of his work focusing on the natural resources and heavy industry sectors. He co-founded HCF in 2003.

"Guy began his career at the World Bank as Project Officer responsible for metals and mining projects. Guy then spent eight years on Wall Street with Lehman Brothers, as Senior Vice President, International Investment Banking, advising, amongst others, gold and other mining companies. In 1990, Guy joined Mr Attali as one of the first members of the transition team responsible for creating the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), which was inaugurated in April 1991.

"In his position as First Deputy Vice President of the Banking Department, he had direct responsibility for sixty percent of EBRD's activities including all of its activities in Russia, Ukraine and the Central European countries. He was also a member of the EBRD's Executive Committee. After leaving the EBRD he was appointed Chief Executive of MC-BBL Eastern Holdings, an investment banking group with activities throughout Eastern and Central Europe. Upon the sale of MC-BBL, he joined Robert Fleming & Co. Limited as Board member and Chairman, Eastern Europe. He oversaw the investment banking activities of Robert Fleming & Co. Limited in the region until Flemings was sold to JP Morgan Chase in 2000.

"Guy has acted as adviser to the European Commission on a number of issues including as Co-Chairman of an expert group appointed by the European Commission and Russian Government to advise on matters relating to the EU/Russian energy dialogue. He is currently on the Boards of Fortis, Solvay S.A., Wimm Bill Dann and Pamplona." [1]
