Biographical Information
"Guy Salter is a luxury expert, manager and investor. Guy got his grounding in retailing and brand development at the Arcadia Group. From there he went to work for HRH The Prince of Wales as Assistant Private Secretary for Industry and Commerce, where, amongst other things, he started Duchy Originals and was awarded an MVO.
"His entry into the luxury industry came with his appointment as Managing Director of Laurent-Perrier. Subsequently Guy went on to manage the Asprey & Garrard Group and, at a later date, acquired and ran Tanner Krolle. His first spell in private equity was with Ripplewood where he specialised luxury, fashion and consumer goods. This has continued with RHJ International and others and he is now an active investor in a number of luxury-related & technology businesses. In addition Guy is partner in Nyetimber, England's leading sparkling wine. Apart from Walpole, his pro bono work includes founding Crafted, a mentorship programme for luxury craftsmen. He is also on the Council of The Prince's Trust."[1]
