Governor's Task Force on Global Warming

The Governor's Task Force on Global Warming was appointed in January 2007 by Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle to provide advice on strategies for the state to address global warming. [1] The members of the task force were announced in April 2007. [2]
In October 2007 a draft recomendation from the Task Force's working group on electricity generation recommended overturn Wisconsin's ban on the construction of new nuclear power stations until a permanent site for the storage of nuclear waste had been established. [3]
