"Golden Gate Friends of Mongolia (GGFOM) is dedicated to serving as a liaison between NGOs in the United States and Mongolia--we build bridges of understanding, cooperation and exchange between the United States and Mongolia." [1]

"Since 2001, GGFOM has been the leading organization in the San Francisco Bay Area promoting cultural exchange and understanding between the United States and Mongolia. After a years of successful cultural programming, GGFOM was fully re-established in 2007 and expanded its vision to include environmental stewardship, civil society development, and volunteerism as new program areas.

"Since its re-establishment in 2007, GGFOM has partnered with Goldman Prize Recipient, Munkhbayar Tsetsegee in San Francisco, helping with his programming and international affairs and, in September 2007, GGFOM staff and board visited Mongolia to visit local NGOs and to develop 2008 GGFOM projects."
