Gold Coast Waterfuture is a wastewater strategy for the Gold Coast area (Australia) for the next 50 years. A controversial part of this strategy involves creating Tugun desalination plant.

Pat Nixon is an Executive Water Engineer with Sinclair Knight Merz in Brisbane and he is currently the Project Manager for Gold Coast Water’s Southern Wastewater Strategy. Pat was also "involved in the site selection" for the Gold Coast desalination facility and as the "Design Coordinator." [1]
