"Gilbert is Chairman of Barings English Growth Fund and a Director of a number of other companies. He is Chairman of two wildlife conservation charities. Gilbert has an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York." [1]

He is Chairman of Castle Private Equity AG and was formerly Chairman of the Baring English Growth Fund and Managing Director of Hambro European Ventures. He is an ex-Council member of the BVCA (British Venture Capital Association). Gilbert joined the board in 2004." [2]
