Biographical Information

"Gijs is the Chief Executive Officer of Ludgate and responsible for the overall management and strategy of Ludgate. Gijs is the co-founder and managing partner of Ocean Capital, a Netherlands-based investment company which holds a majority shareholding in Ludgate Investments and was a cornerstone investor at the launch of the Ludgate Environmental Fund in 2007. Prior to Ludgate, Gijs was founding and managing partner of an investment fund, set up and majority owned by Ocean Capital, which focusses on the real estate sector in India and is currently involved in the development of residential units. Ocean Capital also has interests in the oil and energy sector through their shareholding in the Netherlands-based North Sea Group which recently merged with Argos to become the largest independent player in the Western European oil and energy market. Gijs graduated cum laude from Erasmus University and holds degrees from College of Utrecht and University of Barcelona."
