Biographical Information
"Geordie Greig became the editor of the London Evening Standard in March 2009. He started his journalistic career as a crime reporter on the South-East London and Kentish Mercury in Deptford. After staff jobs on the Daily Mail and Sunday Today, he joined The Sunday Times in 1987 as a general reporter.
"He was the New York correspondent for five years and then the paper’s Literary Editor for five years, until he was made Editor of Tatler in August 1999. In his 20 years as a journalist, he has covered wars, fashion shows, riots, film premieres and interviewed many celebrities, most recently for Tatler Peter Blake, Bryan Ferry and David Hockney, Martin Amis, V.S. Naipaul and Anish Kapoor.
