Frontier Global Sciences is a Seattle, Washington-based, privately-held analytical laboratory that in January, 2011, produced a report funded by serial lobbyist Rick Berman of the Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) that concluded canvas grocery bags sold in grocery stores contain unacceptable levels of lead.[1] CCF Senior Research Analyst J. Justin Wilson then used the report to lobby in favor of plastic bags. CCF lobbies on behalf of plastic bag manufacturers. [2]
