Fred O. Oladeinde

Mr. Fred Oladeinde "is the President of the Foundation for Democracy in Africa www.democracy- Africa.org and the Chair Board of Trustees of the Institute for Democracy in Africa, the think tank and education arm of the Foundation for Democracy in Africa. Mr. Oladeinde represents the organization at multilateral organizations, including the United Nations, the African Union, the World Bank, and the African Development Bank among others. Mr. Oladeinde is responsible for developing relationships and partnerships with governments and international organizations as well as managing the development portfolio of the organization, working with donors for funding and other partners for policy reforms that will advance democracy, good governance, and rule of law, trade and development in Africa.

"Mr. Oladeinde also coordinates the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) civil society network, a network of civil society organizations in AGOA-eligible countries and the United States that work to optimize the benefits of the legislation in developing trade and economic development in Africa, Mr. Oladeinde testified before the U.S. Congress in support of AGOA prior to the signing of the bill into law in 2000. He coordinates the [[Western Hemisphere African Diaspora Network, (WHADN) www.whadn.org an initiative of the African Union established in 2002 to facilitate the utilization of the collective talents and resources of Africans in the Diaspora in advancing the collective interests of Africans on the continent and the Diaspora
