Fred Allendorf
Fred Allendorf "is a Professor of Biology at the University of Montana. He is an active conservationist with extensive international experience, and an expert in the fields of Evolutionary Genetics and Conservation Biology. He has written numerous books and is a prolific contributor to academic journals. Professor Allendorf has served as the President of the American Genetic Association, as a panel member of numerous National Science Foundation programs, and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Montana Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. He has volunteered as a genetics consultant to the Montana Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks, the U.S. National Park Serice, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Forest Service. Notably, he received a B.S. in Zoology from Penn State University, a M.S. and Ph.D. in Fisheries and from the University of Washington, after he served in Vietnam in the U.S. Army." [1]
