Frank A. Ninkovich "received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago, where he specialized in the history of U.S. foreign relations. He is the author of The Diplomacy of Ideas, Germany and the United States, Modernity and Power, The Wilsonian Century, and The United States and Imperialism. He is currently at work on a history of the emergence of a global outlook in the United States for the period 1865-1890 and is editing two volumes of essays on aspects of U.S. foreign relations. He is an elected member of the Council of the Society for Historians of American Foreign Relations and serves on the editorial board of the society's journal, Diplomatic History." [1]
