Francois Maartens works for Africa Fighting Malaria, a pro-DDT advocacy group.
A biographical note states that he has been working with AFM since July 2007. "He has worked on the Lubombo Spatial Development Initiative, and conducted parasite prevalence surveys entomological field data collections, and IRS training and monitoring and evaluation of malaria control programs in several southern African countries. He is based in Durban, South Africa, where he performs malaria control research and advocacy," it states.[1]
