Funding
In 1993 they received a grant from the NED for $ 35,860 which they channelled to PASSIA Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs. "On behalf of the Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs (PASSIA), to support a public education program aimed at young people, community leaders and professionals and designed to help reinforce democratic debate and practice and to increase understanding of democratic ideas and processes within Palestinian society in the Occupied Territories." [2]
In 1996 the Earhart Foundation provided them with a $10,000 grant "To enable American and foreign scholars to participate in a conference during 1997 in Morocco on political economy, civil society and cultural identity." [3]
