"The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), also known as PIND, was established in 2010 with initial funding of 50million USD from Chevron Corporation as a regional strategy for addressing deep-rooted socio-economic problems in the Niger Delta rather than symptoms by growing networks of international and local partners to collaborate in developing and implementing new solutions and reducing dependence on oil in the region."
