The Flagler Foundation, "established in 1963, is a private family foundation based in Richmond, Virginia. The Foundation focuses its gifts primarily in the areas of education and social services with an emphasis on women and young people." [1]

"The Flagler Foundation, whose assets are derived from the fortune of Henry M. Flagler, co-founder of Standard Oil, was established, in 1963, in Richmond, Virginia by Lawrence Lewis, Jr., Flagler's great nephew." [2]
