Since February 2005, he served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF MEXICO, representing thousands of companies that account for close to 90% of the total foreign investment and 41.9% of all jobs in Mexico. During his short tenure, Larry began to transform AmCham, as it is also known, into the premier voice of business and investment in Mexico. He began his airline career at a basic entry-level position working as baggage and ticket agent at the Mexico City Airport when he was 18. His business career took off when at 16 he became a sales distributor for Amway, eventually creating a distributor network of over one thousand distributors nationally.

He has been a Rotary member since 1997.

He has been an invited speaker at prestigious forums like the Business Summit in Monterrey and Veracruz, in the congress organized by Forbes magazine, in that of The Economist magazine, and others. He is an advisor in the international section of the Reforma newspaper. EXPANSION magazine named him as “one of the 30 promises of Mexico”.
