Fay Bound Alberti

Dr Fay Bound Alberti "is a cultural historian who has researched and published works in the histories of medicine, science and society. Fay has lectured at several British universities, most recently at Lancaster University as a Lecturer in History. She is currently Honorary Research Fellow at the Wellcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine at UCL, and Senior Research Fellow at Queen Mary University of London. Her special interests are interdisciplinary histories and the politics of gender, subjectivity and emotions. Her most recent book Matters of the Heart, Or Why The Heart Matters: History, Medicine and Emotion will be published by Oxford University Press in 2009. Fay is invited regularly to give public lectures for organisations such as the Wellcome Trust and the British Association for the Advancement of Science (BAAS), of which she also is a member. Having contributed to and reviewed a number of public and historical exhibitions, Fay continues to combine her academic work and training with an interest in the politics and practicalities of heritage preservation worldwide."
