Eugene Wigner

Eugene Wigner was most famous for writing The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Mathematics in the Natural Sciences in which he admitted that there was no rational explanation for the good match between human prediction and human perception - an early statement of the Anthropic Principle. This had a major impact on ideas of truth and even some on ideas of dignity, as Wigner stated that there was a need to consider non-human perspective at least to resolve theory problems, e.g. as in the modern cognitive science of mathematics.
