In 2011 Stephen Layfield, "head of science at Emmanuel college, had resigned as a director from Truth in Science, a controversial group of academics and clergy." [1]
- Nigel McQuoid - is director of schools at the Emmanuel Schools Foundation and former principal (headteacher) of King's Academy in Middlesborough, one of the (current) three Vardy schools.
In October 2010 "Sir Peter Vardy’s Emmanuel Schools Foundation – which runs schools in Gateshead and Blyth – announced yesterday that it is hand over its four schools to the United Learning Trust (ULT), the country’s largest sponsor of academies." [1]
