"Former Parliamentary Standards Commissioner Elizabeth Filkin CBE, formerly the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, has successfully carried major roles in both the private and public sectors and brings rare insight to the Advisory Group. She currently combines chairing one of the largest residential homes companies in the UK, Annington Homes Ltd, with chairmanships of public regulatory appointments bodies, for the General Pharmaceutical Council and the Solicitors Regulation Authority. She also serves on several Trusts.

"Elizabeth has served as Independent Advisor to the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) on the relationship between the media and the police. She conducted an extensive inquiry following the phone hacking scandal, and published advice in 2012, which the MPS are implementing in full. She also provided her report to the Leveson Inquiry.

"She was Deputy Chief Executive at the London Docklands Development Authority after promotion from her role as Director of Community Services, and was responsible for delivering a major housing programme and a range of services including schools, colleges and health centres.

"Her first major management role was Chief Executive of Citizens Advice.

"Elizabeth has been a non executive director of Britannia Building Society, HBS, Logica, Jarvis and Hay Management Consultants."[1]
