Elisabeth Millard was named February 3, 2006, by President George W. Bush as Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for South and Central Asian Affairs. Ms. Millard recently served as Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Kathmandu. She received her bachelor's degree from the London School of Economics and her master's degree from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University.
