Biographical Information

"Eleana Gordon is Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Liberty in the Middle East (CLIME). Since 2003, she has been a devoted supporter of liberal democratic activists throughout the Middle East region. At CLIME, she pioneered the use of e-learning to provide training for civic activists in countries such as Syria, Egypt and Jordan through the Online Activism Institute, which she founded in 2009, and Tavaana, an e-learning space for Iranian civil society that launched in 2010. Through these initiatives and other programs in Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco and Syria, CLIME has trained thousands in the Middle East on the ideas, value and practice of pluralistic democracy.

"Eleana brings to her nonprofit leadership ten years of business strategy and management experience in the Internet industry. She has a MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University." [1]
