Eileen Carroll "is Deputy Chief Executive of the London-based Centre for Effective Dispute resolution (CEDR) and responsible its dispute resolution services. In 1989, returning from working in a law firm in the US, she spearheaded the pioneering work to establish CEDR, an independent non-profit organisation supported by multinational business and leading professional bodies, which now, after 18 years is an internationally acclaimed trainer in mediation and conflict management skills...

"Ms. Carroll is co-author of International Mediation - The Art of Business Diplomacy republished by Kluwer in 2006 and holds the award of Distinction for her pioneering international mediation work from the US-based CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution. She has written and lectured extensively on international negotiation and settlement techniques, and regularly lectures in the US and Europe - most recently at the World Bank in Washington D.C. and the OECD in Paris.

Ms Carroll has recently been featured in Elizabeth Cruickshank's book entitled Women in the Law which is a collection of interviews of 28-eight women solicitors, barristers and judges, each recognised as outstanding in her profession. She is a graduate of the University of Kent Law School." [1]
