Edward Chobanian

"After completing his undergraduate study at the University of Wisconsin, Edward Chobanian went on to graduate school at the University of Chicago before returning to the University of Wisconsin for Law and Graduate school. He studied in both Japan in 1956, and India as a recipient of the Fulbright Scholarship in 1960.

"He taught and eventually became Assistant Director of Marketing and Agribusiness at the International Marketing Institute, part of the Harvard Graduate School of Business, and participated in long term development assignments in S. Korea and Thailand. He served as Marketing and Development Economist at the Asian Development Bank and concentrated on sustainable development.

"Mr. Chobanian was recruited by the World Bank as an Agribusiness Economist and retired 20 years later as Principal Economist. Ed Chobanian has also acted as a consultant for numerous American, Japanese, and European consulting firms as well as a specialist in Agribusiness and Marketing. He is currently a consultant in Sustainable Development and Environment for UNDP, World Bank and Swiss Development Cooperation.
