"Dubravka Velat is currently the Executive Director and TIM TRI Coordinator at Civic Initiatives in Serbia. She holds a Bachelor’s (MA equivalent) degree from the University of Split in Croatia and completed a formal exam for employment in Public Administration. Mrs. Velat has thirty years of professional working experience, working for ten years in the Federal statistical office on national surveys and researches in Yugoslavia and another twenty years in the civil society sector in the fields of identification, formulation, implementation, and reporting of projects financed by the European Commission and other donors. She is also a Founding and Board member of the Balkan Community Initiatives Fund in Serbia and has memberships in numerous professional bodies. Over the span of her career Mrs. Velat has designed /delivered over a thousand days of basic and advanced training programs related to capacity building and NGO development, including over twenty Training of Trainer (TOT) programs. She has also published and contributed to numerous publications and served as a consultant, evaluator, and assessor, individually and as part of a team, on various civil society related projects."
