Dimethyl phthalate (DMP) is one of a group of chemicals known as phthalates. DMP is used in manufacturing solid rocket propellant, insect repellent, and plastic.[1] When exposed to DMP, humans excrete mono-methyl phthalate (MMP) in their urine.[2]
