Dhuvaran Super Thermal Power Project
Dhuvaran Super Thermal Power Project is a proposed 1,600 megawatt (MW) coal plant of NTPC in Gujarat state, India.
The undated satellite photo below shows Dhuvaran Thermal Power Station, a 220 MW coal plant built in Dhurvan village in 1972.
In February 2015 NTPC invited bids to provide consultancy services for carrying out the EIA feasibility study for setting up the 2 x 800 MW power station.
However, the project's terms of reference permit has lapsed with no EIA submitted, and plans appear to be deferred or abandoned.
