Biographical Information

"Deepa is currently serving as Country Director of India for Change.org and is a social campaigner who has worked in India and globally. She co-founded the Indian Youth Climate Network which empowers and mobilises thousands of young Indians on climate change. Deepa’s work has included campaigning for GetUp in the 2010 Australian elections, setting up Greenpeace India’s mobile advocacy model and working for PwC in their climate change department. Deepa has also worked with organisations globally on the UNFCCC process in Poznan, Bonn and Copenhagen, where her work involved bringing justice for the Global South and leading direct actions such as protests and fasting for climate justice. "
