Declan Kennedy
Declan Kennedy, co-founder of Lebensgarten EcoVillage in Germany, inspired in part by Findhorn. Declan has served as President of the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN). [1]

Vice-President for Academic Affairs of the Technical University Berlin, member of the Permaculture Insitute of Europe, since 1982; 1985 co-founder of eco-village Lebensgarten Steyerberg, near Hanover, Germany; Country Co-ordinator for Germany of the Global Action Plan for the Earth (GAP) from 1989-92. 1995 Founding Chairman: Global Eco-Village Network (GEN); Worked on Steering Committee of the “Best Practices and Leadership Programme” (BLP) of United Nations Centre for Human Settlements; research work on “New and Renewed Ecological Settlements” in 5 countries of Europe until 1996, supported by the European Academy of the Urban Environment, Berlin; Prof. Kennedy’s preoccupation with permaculture, positive energies and eco-village design has led to his engagement in the Gaia University, a young university without walls, based on action-learning.
