Dean M. Krugman, Ph.D. is a Communications researcher at the University of Georgia, and has served as an Anti-Tobacco Expert for the Plaintiff in lawsuits against the tobacco industry.

Biography

Dean Krugman is Professor and Head of Advertising and Public Relations, College of Journalism and Mass Communication, The University of Georgia, Athens, GA 30602-3018. Dr. Krugman holds a Ph.D. in Communication Research from The Institute of Communications Research at The University of Illinois in Urbana. He has had a distinguished academic career in marketing and communications research and has written extensively on advertising and marketing communications research. He is considered to be a leading scholar whose work has appeared in prominent academic journals and conferences. His work includes various areas of cigarette marketing and advertising. He has served on numerous editorial review boards and his work has received commendations. (State of Florida's Proposed Plaintiff's Disclosure of Expert Witnesses, 2/5/97) His area of expertise includes the impact of cigarette marketing, promotion and advertising.
