Biographical Information
"David Worskett is director of the NHS Partners Network – the grouping of major independent sector companies within the NHS Confederation that deliver patient care at both acute and primary care level on behalf of the NHS. David leads work on policy and system management reform as well as showcasing and promoting the role independent healthcare providers can play in the modern, pluralist NHS and the benefits their invovlement brings to patients. Previously he has spent 5 years as commercial director of Bevan Brittan LLP, a well-known national law firm recognised for its major healthcare practice where he remains a non-executive director.
"Earlier in his career, David worked for 10 years as director of corporate affairs at RAC Motoring Services Ltd. where he was responsible for representing the views of millions of motorists to government and for leading policy work on safety and environmental issues in addition to mainstream board level commercial responsibilities in the £500million business. Subsequently, he was chief executive of the Engineering and Technology Board. After leaving Oxford David initially joined the Home Civil Service, working in the Departments of the Environment and Transport where his major roles included leading work to change public attitudes on drinking and driving in the late 1980s and managing deregulation of the state dominated European Aviation industry."[1]
