Biography

In a 1994 letter to the St. Louis Post Dispatch, Kuneman disputed secondhand smoke's harmful effects. His name appears on a memo from Betty Handy of Philip Morris Research Center. More recently (2004 & 5) Kuneman started to dispute economic reports about smoking restrictions. HE is a smoker and worked for 6 years in the 1980s as a research chemist for Seven-Up and still draws a small pension from that work. At the time of his employment Seven-Up was owned by Philip Morris. He communicated with Philip Morris Research Center employee Betty Handy.
