David V. Milligan, Ph.D.
"Dr. Milligan began his career at 3M Company in 1967 and retired from Abbott Laboratories at the end of 1996 as Senior Vice President and Chief Scientific Officer. During Dr. Milligan's 17 years at Abbott Laboratories, he led the Diagnostics Products Research and Development organization and later assumed responsibility for global Pharmaceutical R&D. Prior to joining Abbott, Dr. Milligan also held a variety of key management positions with Xonics Medical Systems, Litton Dental Products and Litton Medical Systems as well as 3M Company. Dr. Milligan is currently a Principal with Bay City Capital and member of its Business Advisory Board. In addition, he currently serves as a director for Caliper Life Sciences, Pathway Diagnostics, Reliant Pharmaceuticals and WebLOQ Inc. In addition, Dr. Milligan is a member of Princeton University's Chemistry Department Advisory Board as well as the Chemical Sciences Leadership Council of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Milligan graduated from Princeton University in 1963 with an A.B. degree in Chemistry (summa cum laude). He then received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Illinois in '65 and '67, respectively." [1]
