David M. Sloan
David M. Sloan has been a "senior consultant to The Scowcroft Group since 1994 and a South Asia specialist, David Sloan has extensive experience in helping U.S. companies expand their global business particularly in India.
"In addition to analyzing political, economic, and commercial risk, he focuses on developing market-entry strategies, identifying joint venture partners, and resolving commercial disputes. His consulting activities cut across a wide range of sectors, including financial services, engineering and construction, telecommunications, power, petroleum, aerospace, defense and investment banking.
"From 1986 to 1993, he was Executive Vice President of Charles Percy & Associates, an international relations and trade consulting boutique. A former Foreign Service Officer, he served in the State Department as Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, as an Energy and Strategic Trade Officer and as an Economic Officer in Jamaica. He was a visiting fellow at the Rajiv Ghandi Institute in New Delhi in 1994 and the American Enterprise Institute in 1985-86. His articles have appeared in leading newspapers including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, International Herald Tribune, and Asian Wall Street Journal.
