Biographical Information
"David Faulkner OBE is a Newcastle City Councillor and was Leader of the Council in 2010/11. He spent most of his professional career with Northern Electric plc, becoming Director of Personnel and Corporate Affairs. David subsequently became Director of The Sponsors Club for Arts and Business in the North East and Cumbria, before becoming an equalities consultant and trainer specialising in drama-based techniques.
"He has been vice chair of Age UK (formerly Age Concern), Newcastle; chair of Intercultural Arts; a non-Executive Director of Newcastle NHS Hospital Trust Board and a board member of both Tourism Tyne & Wear and of the Museums, Libraries and Archives Association North East. He has been a councillor since June 2004, and earlier between 1974 and 1978."[1]
