Biography
"David is the Chairman of Deloitte in the UK, having been elected to this role in 2007. Prior to that, he led the firm’s tax practice for eight years. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in the firms Edinburgh office in 1982 and then moved to London where he became a partner in 1988.
He has specialised throughout his career in advising multinational corporates. He has also been a global board member of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Ltd, the Deloitte global organisation since 2007.
David has taken a leading role on Corporate Responsibility in Deloitte and chairs our Board Sub Committee with oversight over all of our CR activities. He became co-chair of the Education and Employers Taskforce Trustees in December 2010. Additionally, he is on the Council of Heart of the City and leads the Business Advisory group of Community Links."[1]
