Biographical Information

Executive Ambassador, The Natural Step International.

.David has been part of The Natural Step International team since 2005 and is based in Stockholm. David has worked with senior managers and operational teams in organisations around the world, including Dow, Nike, Skanska, Scandic, as well as many local communities and public agencies. Prior to working with The Natural Step, David was Chief Executive of a public/private partnership which planned, funded and built a new university in the UK. The project won a national award for excellence as a public/private partnership.

"In 1997, David established The Natural Step in the UK through Forum for the Future, and focused primarily on working with big corporations to challenge them with the realities of sustainable development.

"David is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the author of the Schumacher Society book, The Natural Step – Towards a Sustainable Society published by Green Books in the UK.He is currently a member of the World Economic Forum Global Advisory Council and the Sustainability External Advisory Committee of the Dow Chemical company.

"David stepped down as Chief Executive of TNSI in September 2009 in order to concentrate upon building international relationships, and being Executive Ambassador for TNS international."
