Biographical Information
"Daniel L. Skaff is President and COO of One PacificCoast Bank, serves in the Office of the Chairman and as Chairman of the Alco Committee. One PacificCoast is a triple bottom line bank dedicated to building prosperity in local communities with a focus on social justice, environmental resilience and economic sustainability. Prior to joining the bank, Dan was Managing Partner of Sienna Ventures, a private equity firm investing in emerging growth businesses in consumer, retail, mobile communications and financial services. Among the successful businesses Dan founded or sponsored while at Sienna Ventures were Glu Mobile (Nasdaq GLUU), Openwave Systems (Nasdaq OPWV), Tradepoint Solutions and DemandTec (Nasdaq DMAN), Motricity (Nasdaq MOTR), @Motion (now part of Openwave), Protocol Communications, Bojangles’ Restaurants and Heidi’s Fine Desserts.
"In addition to his responsibilities at One PacificCoast Bank, Dan serves as Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Marin Community Foundation, one of the nation’s largest community foundations with $1.3 billion in assets, and as a Senior Advisor to Fairview Capital and its Darlington Partners LP public equities fund. Prior to Sienna Ventures, Dan served as Chairman and CEO of Sienna Holdings and as Executive Chairman of Pon North America, the U.S. investment and operating affiliates respectively of Pon Holdings B.V. of the Netherlands. Earlier in his career Dan served in the Corporate Finance Departments of Bankers Trust Company and Bank of America. He is a past trustee or advisory board member of the Harvard College Fund, The Sierra Club Investment Advisory Council, the Bay Area Children's Discovery Museum, and Pact Children’s Adoption Agency. He is also past director of EBT Digital Communications, a Shanghai-based retailer of mobile devices and services with 420 stores in Eastern China." [1]
