Dan Beeton "have been involved with Burma's movement for freedom and democracy for six years, going back to his initial involvement with the Free Burma Coalition (FBC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1998. He was initially a volunteer for FBC, but in the summer of 2000, he began a paid position for FBC at the Washington, D.C. office as Campaign Director. He led or helped to lead trips to the Thai-Burma border. He worked for Citizens Trade Campaign, a coalition of labor unions, family farmers, environmental, and consumer groups, as Associate Director until July 2004. He is currently an International Policy Analyst with the Center for Economic and Policy Research." [1]
