"Dale Stahl is a Ph.D. candidate in Middle East history. He received a B.A. from Stanford University in 2002 and an M.A. from Columbia in 2008. Publications include An Argument for Documenting Casualties: Violence Against Iraqi Civilians 2006 and More Freedom, Less Terror? Liberalization and Political Violence in the Arab World, both published by the RAND Corporation in 2008." 
His PhD is titled "The Two Rivers: Water, Development and Politics in the Tigris-Euphrates Basin 1920-1975" (a examination of politics in Turkey).
