Cynthia Ann Telles

Dr. Cynthia Ann Telles "is the director of the Spanish Speaking Psychosocial Clinic of the Neuropsychiatric Institute and Hospital at UCLA School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. She serves on the boards of the Kaiser Foundation, The California Endowment, the Music Center and the City of Los Angeles Board of Library Commissioners and the National Alliance for Hispanic Health. She also is a member of the Mental Health Task Force of The Carter Center in Atlanta, Ga. Her many awards include a certificate of appreciation from the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office and a Woman of Courage award from the City of Los Angeles Commission on the Status of Women. Dr. Telles received a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Boston University. Dr. Telles and her husband, Robert M. Hertzberg, Speaker Emeritus of the California State Assembly, have three sons."
