"Tasmanians for a Better Future" Controversy
Immediately prior to the 2006 Tasmanian state election, CCTas ran a series of ads for a secretive group of businessmen calling themselves "Tasmanians for a Better Future". The ads attacked the Tasmanian Greens and advocated the return of 'majority' government, which in effect meant urging a vote for the incumbent Labor government. The ads were particularly controversial because CCTas refused to reveal the who had funded them.[2]
