Consumer Specialty Products Association is a trade organization representing the makers of institutional and household chemical cleaning products, air freshners and pesticides. The group, however, choses to describe itself in more misleading terms. According to its website, CSPA "is the premier trade association representing the interests of the consumer specialty products industry -- a dynamic industry that provides households, institutions, and industrial customers with products that help provide a cleaner and healthier environment. Our products include disinfectants that kill germs in homes, hospitals and restaurants … candles and fragrances that eliminate odors … pest management products for home and garden … cleaning products for use throughout the home and for automobiles … and a host of other products used everyday." CSPA is organized into several divisions: aerosol, air care, antimicrobial products, cleaning products, industrial & automotive products, pest management products, polishes & floor maintenance.
